Bop
A downloadable tool for Windows and Android
Bop is a small personal hub for keeping several messaging and web accounts apart on one device.
On Windows, one hub window gives each account its own browser session. Messenger in A, Facebook in B, a study board or job feed in another space. Each space has its own cookies, storage, and cache, so the accounts do not see each other. The hub can hide into the tray, keep listening, and show a small floating bubble that tells you which account moved. You can set the bubble’s size, transparency, double-click action, and even use your own picture.
On Android, you add one space per account, grant notification access, and Bop turns the phone’s notifications into cards with a per-account badge on the bubble. Each web session keeps its own login without sharing cookies with the others.
What Bop is not: it is not a messaging client and it does not host a chat UI. It only tells you something happened and opens the real conversation. It cannot recover a notification that was never posted, and an unread marker is a count, not a specific message. Background delivery is best effort on both platforms. There is no Bop server and no Bop account; everything stays on the device.
This package currently includes a Windows portable build. The Android app is built from source. The build is not code-signed, so first launch on Windows will warn. There is no installer.
Bop is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or shipped by any of the services it can sign into.
